regeneration

Our commitment to the future of the environment.

As part of our efforts to promote a better future for individuals and families and for our environment, we work to establish food production systems that restore and renew the environment in which they operate.

Reagriculture

Reagriculture

Osem-Nestle is committed to using raw materials from sustainable agriculture in 20% of the Group's products by 2025, and already today our coffee brands use 100% sustainable sources.

Regenerative agriculture is an agricultural system aimed at preserving and restoring their agricultural lands and ecosystems. It aims to improve soil health and soil fertility, alongside activities to capture carbon and reduce emissions into the atmosphere. Nestle focuses primarily on supporting farmers who produce our raw materials, helping them integrate advanced methods of reagriculture.

Zero Landfill

Zero Landfil

The goal of zero landfill means that any waste generated in the production process is channeled towards agricultural processes and energy recovery. For example, production residues of food products are routed to compost and used by local farmers as organic fertilizer, in other cases food residues from production lines are converted into fodder or animal feed. At the same time, non-food waste undergoes a process called (fermentation) and thus becomes an energy brick used by other enterprises in the local industry. Osem-Nestle has already reached the goal of zero landfilling, and will continue to maintain this line in the future.

water saving

Water saving

Water savings and reuse of the water used in our production processes are strictly maintained. Inside the Osem-Nestle plants, designated filtration plants have been installed that handle water purification for the purpose of restoring agriculture and reusing it.

A balanced diet based on plant-based foods

About 20-40% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions are a result of the meat and food industry in general, and producing one kilo of meat requires 40 times the energy needed to grow a kilo of grain to eat. As a result, more and more people are interested in reducing meat from the diet and incorporating more vegetables and legumes into it, but are also interested in maintaining a balanced diet for themselves and their families. Osem-Nestle is working to create a variety of nutritious, tasty and protein-rich plant-based solutions under the Tivall brand.
